In the evening of the 29th of January, the arriving fully loaded containership 'Fei He' collided with the departing chemical tanker 'Lime Galaxy' approximately 2.7 km south of Jurong Island, Singapore. The collision resulted in one of Fei He’s bunker tanks sustaining damage, which led to some bunker fuel being spilt.

SMIT immediately mobilized its team of salvage experts to assist the vessel and minimize potential further environmental damage. Along with the team, oil booms and oil spill response craft were mobilized and deployed. After cleaning up the spilt fuel, the risk of further pollution was mitigated and the Fei He berthed at the Pasir Pajang container terminal. After discharging all her containers, the vessel was shifted to Singapore Mega Shipyard for repairs.
